The Role

Assistant Accountant (Ashbourne)

  • Preparation and review of monthly management accounts for a number of companies within the group
  • Month end procedures for all companies including inter-company reconciliations
  • Maintenance of extensive fixed asset register
  • Preparation of monthly reporting packs and distribution to relevant departments
  • Involvement in year-end preparation and audit, and budgeting processes
  • Ad hoc analysis, CSO statistic returns,
  • Staff supervision
  • Cover for asset purchasing processes and other departments when required
  • Process purchase invoices when required
  • Maintain bank records, including recording of daily payments and receipts and bank reconciliations
  • VAT/VIES/Instrastat returns preparation/review
The Person
  • Part/newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc)
  • At least three years’ experience in a similar accounting role in industry
  • Previous experience in AP/AR processing an advantage
  • Strong degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to query and interpret results
  • Flexibility to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Strong IT skills including Excel and Powerpoint
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, essential
