The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Hire Desk Controller to join the team in the Ashbourne Head Office. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment, excellent communication skills and a commitment to the highest level of customer service and safety.
  • Taking hire enquiries over the phone and converting to orders
  • Using the in-house hire system
  • Filing of customer contracts and other paperwork from the system
  • Liaison with engineers, other hire desk controllers and Site Supervisors
  • Transport and delivery planning
  •  Invoice queries resolution
  • Work closely with Sales to ensure accurate service
  • Keep CRM up-to-date


The Person
  • Experience within the hire industry (desireable)
  • Strong PC skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Good knowledge of transport and haulage (desireable)
  • Highly organised and able to multi-task
  • Positive and flexible attitude to work
  • An interest in machinery
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • 100% Fluency in English essential (written, spoken and comprehension)
  • Excellent Team Player
