We are currently recruiting for a passionate and hard working Yard Operative to join our busy service team, responsible for preparing access equipment for delivery to customers. To be successful in this role you will have good basic mechanical ability, a willingness to learn about our specialist and the dedication to ensure the yard and workshop areas are maintained to highest standards. In return Height for Hire will provide ongoing training and development on specialist powered access equipment.
Duties
Assisting service engineers as necessary with repairs and inspections on the company’s rental fleet Organise movement of machines from yard to workshop and back to designated areas Coordinate with truck drivers and engineers in identifying damage and repairs on returned machines Carry out basic assessment, washing, refuelling of machines as required. Good housekeeping of yard and workshop areas in line with company Lean Processes. Ensure the overall upkeep the car park and grass areas
The Person
Flexible attitude to varied work, both indoors and outdoors Some mechanical experience in construction machinery or access equipment Full drivers licence Excellent communication skills and fluent English Commitment to excellent customer service and safety Ability to work without supervision Demonstrate flexible approach to working hours Awareness of health & safety issues
