Height for Hire and FRS Network team up!

Height for Hire and FRS Network have teamed up in a bid to improve farm safety nationwide. Farmers can now get their jobs at height completed by a specially trained member of the FRS (Farm Relief Services) team utilising the state of the art Height for Hire equipment. The service provides both machine and operator direct to your door. Working at height is an ever present danger on farms throughout Ireland and continues to cause accidents and fatalities annually. The HSA (Health & Safety Authority) reports that 19% of farm deaths are caused by falls or collapse with 37% of these fatalities attributable to falls from height and from ladders and 20% due to falling through fragile roofs. Farmers may underestimate the dangers of working from heights. This new partnership between access specialists Height for Hire and expert labour supplier FRS will have an emphasis firmly placed on promoting safe working practice. By teaming up with Height for Hire, FRS Network is now in a position to provide a complete ‘height with hands’ service to farmers. The service will be available from the FRS office in Ballyjamesduff initially with a view to rolling the service out Nationwide. Both parties involved see this as an excellent opportunity to fully service farmers working from height needs and promote health and safety on the farm and to encourage people to think twice before working at height. It is hoped farmers will avail of this service to eliminate the chances of unnecessary accidents on the farm. The 20m Nissan Cabstar machines, that FRS will be working with, are ideal for all sorts of work that occur at height on a farmyard; painting, repairing roofing, guttering, working at height on grain silos, trimming branches, power washing galvanise roofing and so on.
