Team Height for Hire and the McArdle family celebrated many years of hard work at the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Gala Awards at Citywest Hotel on Thursday 26th October.
Managing Director Fergus McArdle and Operations Director Frances McArdle represented Height for Hire as finalists in the International Category. It was a great honour to be considered in the final line up with many great companies, where new alliances and friendships were formed and the joys and challenges of running your own business were shared.
Joining Frances and Fergus was Founder and Chairman Harry McArdle and his wife Cabrini McArdle, who started the company nearly 40 years ago. Harry is still fully active in bringing Height for Hire to the next stage of growth, offering his vast knowledge of the access industry and wisdom to help guide the next generation of Mc Ardle entrepreneurs. Marketing Director Lorraine McArdle and Sales Manager Patrick McArdle, were also there, along with other family members and their partners who work outside the business.
The Mc Ardle family were delighted to share the evening with some of the stalwarts of the Height for Hire team, many of whom have been instrumental in the changes over the years as the company, and indeed the access industry, has evolved. And it was a great privilege for the family to be able to celebrate alongside them.
But there are many hard working people who have helped make the company what it is today, and to be nominated as a finalist was testament to the great work being done by those people every day, rolling out a quality service so that all our customers are able to get the job done safely and get home safe to their families.
The awards were televised on Be3 on Monday 30th October at 8pm. But for those of you who missed them, you can follow the night’s events at this link.
And on behalf of Height for Hire, we would like to extend our congratulations to the winners on the night: Jack Teeling from Teeling Whiskey in the Emerging Category; Evelyn O’Toole from CLS in the Industry Category and Harry Hughes from Portwest in the International Category who was also the overall winner.
